A pair of state-level Democratic candidates will be making their respective campaign stops in Jefferson later this week.
Iowa Secretary of State candidate Deidre DeJear will be at the Milwaukee Depot tomorrow from 11:30am to 1pm. This will be her second stop in Jefferson. Her other visit was before the June primary election this past April. She is running against Republican candidate Paul Pate.
Then on Friday will be the Lieutenant Governor candidate, Senator Rita Hart, who will also be at the Depot from 11:45am to 12:45pm. This will be her first visit to Greene County as the Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor. She is the running mate of gubernatorial candidate Fred Hubbell. They are running against Republican candidates Kim Reynolds for governor and Adam Gregg for lieutenant governor.
Both events are free and open to the public. Both events are hosted by the Greene County Democratic Party.
