Don’t forget, there’s still time for your business or organization to take part in the annual Perry Carnegie Library Museum’s Festival of Trees.
Organizers are hoping to fill the library with 40 holiday displays, but the deadline to sign up to participate is this Friday. There is no cost to submit an entry, and the term “tree” is used fairly loosely for the festival. Trees, wreaths, flower arrangements, and even bicycles have been utilized as mediums for the annual display in the past. It also doesn’t have to be Christmas-themed, as organizers are happy to welcome any entry with a winter motif. All materials used for your holiday presentation will also be returned to you following the festival, as none of the items are sold. The fundraiser aspect of the Festival of Trees comes from donations and people voting on which entry is their favorite.
The festival will run from November 17th through December 23rd, with set up days on November 13th and 14th. However, you must let organizers Katie Schott or Laura Stebbins know before this Friday at 5 p.m. if you plan to participate. Schott can be reached by phone at 515-465-3809, and Stebbins can be contacted by phone at 515-360-4980 or by email at LJStebbins@outlook.com.
