A few weeks ago, Democratic candidate for governor Fred Hubbell had to reschedule a visit to Perry. This Thursday, he will make good on that promise to reschedule as he’ll be making a stop at Perry Perk.
Hubbell will be at the downtown coffee shop at 9:30 a.m. for a free meet and greet event. The Perry Area Democrats are hosting the event, and they encourage the public to attend and ask the gubernatorial candidate about his plans if elected. This is Hubbell’s first visit to Perry since winning the Democratic nomination in the June primary election. His stop in Perry will be the second by a gubernatorial candidate this week, following a Tuesday visit by incumbent Republican Governor Kim Reynolds. Hubbell and Reynolds are locked in a close race leading up to next week’s general election, and are also joined on the ballot by Libertarian candidate Jake Porter.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th, and early voting can be done at the Dallas County Auditor’s Office in Adel between now and November 5th. For more information on Thursday’s Fred Hubbell meet and greet, contact Perry Area Democratic Chairperson Monica Peitz at 515-465-9882.
