To wrap up National Friends of the Library Week, there is a special event happening today at the Jefferson Public Library.
The Friends of the Jefferson Library are hosting the third annual Chocolate FRIENDzy event. Organizer Bonnie Silbaugh says it is open to all Friends members today from 9am to noon. There will be several chocolate creations throughout the library for attendees to taste and vote on for their favorite. “Anything that brings chocolate back into it. So you might have peanut butter or caramel there too. But chocolate is the main base for it and it’s kind of a fun theme to carry out. So we have kind of brown tablecloths and different chocolate decorations throughout the library.”
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the contest. Memberships start at $5 for a single and $10 for a family. If someone is already a member, they are invited to attend the event.
It is a fundraiser for the Friends, which helps to raise funds for purchases for the library.
