A Bagley mother charged with child endangerment resulting in the death of her 11-month-old son has entered a plea of not guilty.

According to court records an arraignment and not-guilty plea were entered this week for 25-year-old Seaira Marie Briceno. This followed F. Montgomery Brown’s appointment as her defense attorney at the state’s expense, after the previous two defending attorneys withdrew from the case. A trial has not been scheduled for Briceno, who was arrested on August 27th. Court documents state on August 10th, Briceno told Guthrie County Deputies she left her son unattended for a short time and found him unresponsive when she returned.
