A mixture of a new head coach and an abundance of senior talent helped the Panorama Panthers varsity volleyball team register the best season in program history this fall. Today, the Raccoon Valley Radio Network will look back at the statical leaders from this season’s 17-12 campaign under first-year head coach Jessica Nail. Senior Brooke Halterman led the Panthers in total kills for a second-straight season. She smashed a career-high 239 kills to the floor this fall, recording 68 more than her junior season. Senior Kennedy Kuta was the Panthers top facilitator in back-to-back seasons, serving up 460 points this fall. Kuta also topped Panorama with 55 aces, 21 more than her junior season. Four Panthers finished the 2018 season with more than 100 digs. Halterman led the way with 12, senior Bailey Beckman registered 118, senior Olivia Richey tallied 117, and senior Morgan Johnk added 114. Finally, Halterman led Panorama with 56 total blocks.The 2018 Panorama Panthers varsity volleyball season ended Monday night in Earlham, falling to the Cardinals (19-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 9-15). The Panthers finish the season with a 17-12 overall record, a ten win improvement from last fall. Panorama will graduate eight players off the squad this May.
