Greene County finished the 2018 high school volleyball season with a 7-22 record, including 2-5 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference matches. No Rams led the conference, but two Greene County players were in the top 10 in kills
MaKayla Geise of Roland-Story (Story City) led the conference in kills with 390, or 4.15 kills per set. Ram sophomore Lily Muir was ninth with 144 kills, or 2.18 per set. Brazilian foreign exchange student Luis Slompo tied for tenth with 137 kills, or 2.08 per set. Muir had 443 attack attempts to 314 for Slompo.
North Polk (Alleman) and Nevada tied for the league’s best record at 6-1, and R-S was third at 5-2. Gilbert and South Hamilton (Jewell) both were 4-3, with the Rams at 2-6, PCM 1-7, and Saydel 0-8.
