Wednesday, October 17th
5:43am: A caller advised of kids riding dirt bikes on South Mulberry, near 250th Street. The incident had occurred the previous day. Officers advised to call in when it is occurring.
8:07am: Officers checked on a Residential Alarm Activation in the 700 Block of West Harrison Street. They found the residence was secure.
10:09am: Regency Park requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 400 Block of South Olive Street. The officer made contact with the female, who was fine.
1:03pm: An officer was advised of a dog running loose near the 300 Block of West Head Street.
3:54pm: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at 220th and Mulberry Streets. A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, owned and operated by Jacob Hagen of Jefferson, was westbound on 220th Street. Hagen stopped his vehicle to yield to oncoming traffic and signaled a left turn at North Mulberry Street. Hagen was struck from behind by a 2006 Buick Lacrosse, owned and operated by Luella Miller of Boone. Hagen’s vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damage to the rear bumper. The Miller vehicle had a reported $3000.00 in front end damages and was towed from the scene. Miller was issued a Citation for, ‘Fail to Stop in Assured Clear Distance Ahead.”
5:25pm: Casey’s reported a Theft of Alcohol from 508 North Elm Street. The store provided the officer with video of the theft. The female is well known to officers. Charges are pending.
5:27pm: A caller advised of two dogs running freely near Westwood and Lincoln Way. The officer located the owner looking for his animals. They were located and taken home by the owner.
6:38pm: A Traffic Stop at Reed and Vine Streets resulted in Grason Lansman of Churdan being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Operation without Registration.”
