The seniors of the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity football team closed their playing career at ADM Stadium with a convincing win over a rival. The Winterset Huskies visited Adel Friday night for a district contest and the final home game of the 2018 season for the Tigers. ADM was able to send the seniors off with a 42-21 victory over the Huskies, ensuring a winning football season less than 12 months removed from a winless 2017 campaign. Senior Nolan Harsh shared the impact first-year head coach Garrison Carter has had on the Tigers bounce back 2018 season. “He somehow figured out a way to a town to rally around a team that’s coming off an 0-9 season and come by into him,” Harsh said, “It’s hard to cheer for a team that’s 0-9, but he came in here and changed the whole culture. You can see it everywhere. I feel like it’s changed the school too.”

The Tigers forced four Winterset turnovers, and all were registered by seniors. Kolten Benz, Andrew Flora, and Nick Bradshaw had one interception each while Ethan Friesth had ADM’s lone fumble recovery. Bradshaw accounted for three offensive touchdowns as well, two short touchdown runs and an eight-yard touchdown reception as well. ADM improved to 5-3 with the victory. They’ll close the 2018 season next Friday in Council Bluffs against Class 3A No. 1 Lewis Central.
