Garrison Carter’s first season as the head football coach of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools is quickly coming to an end. His initial class of senior players will take the field at ADM Stadium for the final time tonight as the Tigers host Raccoon River Conference rival Winterset. Fourteen players make up this year’s Tiger senior class, and Carter urges Ambush Nation to come out and support them tonight. “I can’t beg people enough to come out and support these seniors (tonight) and say goodbye to them,” Carter said, “They are such a special group of kids that have been so bought in (to our process). We gave them quite the culture shock when I showed up in February and it would’ve been real easy to tell me to go screw myself, but they’ve been bought in 100%.”
The Tigers square off against arguably their most fierce rival from the Raccoon River Conference in their final home game. Winterset posts a deceiving 3-4 overall record entering tonight’s matchup with ADM. Three of the Huskies four losses have come by a combined seven points to Raccoon River Conference members Carlisle (Week 1: 25-20), Bondurant-Farrar (Week 2: 40-39), and Ballard (Week 4: 32-31). ADM is 2-0 against Raccoon River Conference opponents this fall with victories over Bondurant-Farrar (Week 1:17-7) and Perry (Week 2: 13-10). Before the varsity game, ADM Community Schools will hold a Senior Night Recognition Ceremony for expected 2019 graduates in the marching band, color guard, cross country and football. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will bring you live play by play coverage of tonight’s week eight district matchup between ADM and Winterset. The Veteran Powersports and Equipment Pregame Show starts our live coverage at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at 7 p.m. in Adel.
