Wet conditions in western Iowa made scoring a premium in the district contest between the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers and the Glenwood Rams. The two teams had three times as many turnovers (nine) as they did touchdowns (three) as the Glenwood Rams made enough plays to top the ADM Tigers Friday night, 14-6. The Tigers trailed 14-0 with less than three minutes remaining in the contest before ADM made a valiant comeback attempt. On fourth down and one, sophomore Justice Paulsen ran 27 yards to the end zone for ADM’s lone touchdown of the contest. The Tigers recovered the ensuing onside kickoff and drove the ball inside Glenwood’s 10-yard line. Paulsen, who carried the Tigers inside the 10, fumbled the football on a second effort to get additional yardage. The Rams recovered the football and ran out the rest of the clock to earn their first district win of the season and their fourth victory overall. The loss drops ADM’s overall 4-3, and they’re winless in three district contests this fall. The Tigers host their home finale next Friday against the Winterset Huskies.
