The last third of the regular season schedule sees the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity football team make two trips to the Nebraska border this month. Their first comes tonight as ADM visits the Glenwood Rams in another Class 3A District 9 contest. These two teams met in Glenwood in the regular season finale last season with the Rams topping the Tigers, 42-20. One side will return to the win column tonight as both ADM and Glenwood enter their third district contest with two losses. Tiger head football coach Garrison Carter says the Rams are a physical football team and they dictate a lot of games by the schemes they play. “Defensively, you’re going to see up in your face, press coverage on every eligible receiver and at times you’re going to see seven players across the defensive line,” Carter said, “Basically, they’re going to beat you one-on-one on every matchup. Every lineman is going to have to make a one-on-one block, and every receiver’s going to have to get open one-on-one.”

The Harlan Cyclones defeated the Tigers and Rams in back-to-back weeks. ADM suffered a 28-10 setback to the Cyclones on September 21 in Adel. Glenwood lost 42-12 to Harlan last week on the road. ADM’s other district blemish came last week at Creston, 16-13. The Rams suffered a 21-7 loss to the Winterset Huskies in the district opener on September 21. Someone’s earning their first district win of the season when ADM visits Glenwood tonight. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live play by play coverage of the game on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. The Veteran Powersports & Equipment Pregame Show starts our live coverage at 5 p.m. and kickoff takes place around 5:30 p.m. from Glenwood High School.
