An annual tradition returns in Stuart during Fire Prevention Week.
The Stuart Fire Department is hosting a french toast supper next Saturday for residents to come tour the station and support the volunteer firefighters. Fire Chief Mike Renslow describes the event, “Of course we’ll be having french toast, sausage, eggs, normal food. There will be an auction and raffle there towards the end by the Stuart Fire Auxiliary, they’re actually auctioning off a quarter of beef and their processing raffle tickets for that. It’s a good fundraiser, it’s a good time to talk to other people within the community and just sit back and enjoy each other.”
The french toast supper takes place Saturday, October 13th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the fire station. National Fire Prevention Week takes place Sunday, October 7th-13th.
