The Boone girls’ swim team placed fourth on Saturday in a seven team field at the Des Moines Lincoln Invitational. Four Greene County students swim for Boone under an athletic sharing agreement. The host Railsplitters won the team title with 582 points, followed by Cedar Rapids Washington 459, Carroll 445, Boone 297, Indianola 252, Des Moines East 161, and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 38.

Ellie Madson had the top finish for a Greene County student. She was the anchor on the fourth place 400 yard freestyle relay. Madson also swam on the eighth place 200 medley relay. Julia Saul and Sophia Ausberger were both on the seventh place 200 freestyle relay.

Coach Chris Mann reports the Toreadors are 14-9 on the season and they’ll swim vs. Grinnell at Grinnell College on Tuesday night.
