There will be two free events for all ages to enjoy in Casey this weekend.

This afternoon the Casey Public Library will host their next program in the Thomas Duncan Memorial Educational Enrichment Program Series. The program titled, “Straight-laced Girls, Uptight Ladies, and Loose Women” will last about an hour and will be led by historian Kathy Wilson. The program will look at the changing role of American women from colonial times through the Victorian-era.

Tomorrow the next event in the Concert in the Park series will be at Rutt City Park. Des Moines artist Damon Dotson will return to the park from 4-7pm. Hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and other treats will be available for a free-will donation, with all proceeds going to the City’s 150th anniversary celebration. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and beverages.
