Dallas Supervisors 8-7

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The first two action items on the agenda both relate to the Sheriff’s Office. The Board will consider a vehicle transfer request from the Sheriff to the Facilities Department, followed by a vehicle purchase request to replace the transferred vehicle. Next, the Board will consider a resolution approving a regional 28E agreement with the West Des Moines Water Works, potentially bringing to an end the months-long discussion regarding the West Des Moines, Waukee, and Van Meter regional water study.

After that, they will review bids and potentially award a contract for the Human Services Campus landscaping project. Other items on the agenda include: a resolution for grants from the Living Roadway Trust Fund for a rotary brush mower attachment and chipper knife sharpener; an appointment to the County Board of Health; discussion of an event honoring the 30th anniversary of the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance; and fiscal year 2019 appropriations. Finally, the Board may also continue discussion on the service coordinator position for area 1A of the Healthcare Coalition, as well as township boundaries.

The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
