For the second time in five days, the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity volleyball hosted a Raccoon River Conference rival. The Perry Jayettes returned to Adel Tuesday night for the opening match of the league season for the Tigers. ADM head volleyball coach Mary Beth Scott tells Raccoon Valley Radio the Tigers topped the Jayettes in straight sets (25-13, 25-7, 25-14). Juniors Delaney Bertman and Abbie Hlas combined to miss one serve in 31 attempts, combing for 10 ace serves. Hlas recorded a team-high 14 digs defensively. Junior Josi Lonneman smashed a team-best 10 kills. The Tigers topped the Jayettes last Thursday in ADM Volleyball Invite in straight sets (21-6, 21-13). The win improves ADM to 6-5 overall. The Tigers resume their season next Tuesday on the road against the Carroll Tigers.
