A West Central Activities Conference road trip will take the Panorama varsity volleyball team to Boone County tonight. The Panthers resume league match play against the Madrid Tigers. Panorama dropped both matches against Madrid last season, including falling in the postseason tournament in straight sets (28-30, 12-25, 15-25). The Panthers competed over the weekend in the in the Coon Rapids-Bayard volleyball tournament, winning one of their three matches. They topped Cardinal in straight sets (21-15, 21-11) and lost in two games to CAM (18-21, 19-21) and AHSTW (13-21, 8-21). Senior Brooke Halterman’s recorded a team-best 43 kills this fall. Senior Kennedy Kuta tops the squad with 14 ace serves and 76 assists. Four Panorama Panthers have 20 or more digs already this fall led by senior Oliva Richey with 28. Madrid brings a 2-2 overall record into tonight’s conference match. The varsity contest serves at 7 p.m. tonight at Madrid High School.
