The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an attempted theft of a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) from last weekend.
According to a press release, the UTV was parked in some hunting timber five miles south of Bayard on the east side of Justice Road. They believe the attempted theft occured at night and involved another ATV/UTV and a half ton pickup or larger. A gold or silver metallic pickup with Polk County license plates was seen in the area on Sunday, August 26th at around 8:30am.
The incident occurred sometime between noon on August 25th and 1pm on August 26th. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office as 641-747-2214. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
