One of the area volleyball squads still searching for their first win of the 2018 season is the West Central Valley Wildcats. The Wildcats will have another attempt at victory number one tonight when the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats visit Stuart for a nonconference match. West Central Valley’s lost their first three matches inside the West Central Activites Conference, falling in straight sets in each contest thus far. Their latest setback came Tuesday at home against the Earlham Cardinals (14-25, 21-25, 19-25). Senior Abby Speichenger dished out a team-high 14 assists, junior Meredith Marks tallied five kills and senior Haley Nizzi recorded five digs in the loss. Tonight’s match is the first this season for Glidden-Ralston. The varsity contest serves at 7 p.m. from West Central Valley High School in Stuart.
