The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday.
The Council reviewed several property transferals. They formally approved disposing the property at 905 Grand Street and discussed the transfer of the property at 808 Ashton Avenue to Randy Nickel. They also discussed bids on the property at 206 S. 8th Street. Since no bids were submitted, a public hearing was not scheduled and they will continue to advertise the property.
They also adopted the Multi Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan as presented, approved an accessory building permit, and appointed Matt Peery to the Regional Airport Authority Board. Becky Benton of State Street Insurance concluded the meeting with an audit review on the City’s workers comp insurance. The Council also discussed placing more signs in public parks and other spaces that display ordinance reminders relating to alcohol consumption, smoking, and pets.
