The Stuart People Active for Library Services (PALS) will be holding their annual membership drive this week. The library organization will be sending out letters to residents encouraging membership in their organization.

PALS member Alpha Mendelson talks about the different types of memberships. “We’re looking forward to even more members this year. Whether you’re an active member or an inactive member we have memberships ranging from $10 all the way up to as much as you care to give. We’re excited about all the new things happening at the library again this year.”

The main focus of PALS is to provide volunteers for library programming. Their two biggest events throughout the year are the annual auction in October and the Sweetheart Dance in February. They will be having an informational open house and membership party at the library on Saturday, September 8th from 9am-noon.
