Don’t forget, Monday evening is the next meeting of the 100+ People for Perry organization, and new members are always welcome.
The group is convening for their third donation meeting of 2018, having already given money to the Alano Club and Nudgers group at their first two meetings this year. Members will vote on one charitable project out of three to support, which will be presented by individuals in the group. Each member will then write a check for $100 to be given to the local group in charge of the project. To date, the organization has donated more than $66,000 to ten projects, each of which have a positive impact on the Perry community.
The mission of 100+ People for Perry is to invest in the City’s future and enhance the quality of life for residents. Monday’s meeting will be held in the Cellar at La Poste starting at 6:30 p.m. with a social time, and the presentations will begin at 7. If any members can’t make it to the meeting, they are asked to drop their check off at Finneseth, Dalen, and Powell. Anyone interested in joining can reach out to Mark Powell at 515-465-4641 or mpowel@fdplawfirm.com, Tom Lipovac at Tom.Lipovac@perry.k12.ia.us, or Linda Kaufman at kaufmanlinda1948@gmail.com.
