Now that the Greene County Fair and Iowa State Fair are over, it’s time for look forward to a new 4-H year.

Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayla Willms says the new 4-H year begins on September 1st. She encourages anyone wanting to enroll for the first time or those looking to continue to participate in 4-H to register via their online 4-H profile. A reminder to all 4-H’ers for the 2018 season: submit record books and award packets by September 4th at 4:30pm to the Extension office ahead of the annual 4-H Awards Banquet to be held later this fall. Extension Director Lori Mannel talks about senior 4-H’ers interested in being a Young Leader.

“This group helps the younger 4-H’ers. You can get leadership experiences and you have a lot of fun. Applications are due by September 3rd and they are available here at the Extension office.”
