While the schedule is still being finalized for one of the final events in the 2018 Iowa fair season, there will be plenty of featured events at this year’s Guthrie County Fair. One of them is the Monster Arm Wrestling Contest.

The contest is scheduled for Sunday, September 2nd with weigh-ins beginning at 4pm and the contest starting at 5. There will weight class competitions for both men and women. All matches will be on a regulation table and under direction of certified referees. The contest will consist of a five pound scale allowance and a double elimination format. There will be trophies for first place in both divisions.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be at the Guthrie County Fair next Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm and Monday from 10am-3pm. We’ll be broadcasting live, playing music, and making local announcements.
