6:04am: Jessica Higgins captured a stray dog at 106 West Washington Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

8:13am: Kimberley Segura spoke with an officer about a Jefferson resident breeding and selling dogs without a Breeder’s License. Officers conducted a Welfare Check on the reported animals and found them to be fine.

8:19am: Fareway reported a Shoplifting Event, which had occurred at 1207 North Elm Street. The officer has been provided video of the event and is investigating.

8:31am: Rich Burkhardt reported rocks in the roadway in the 400 Block of West Head Street. The officer checked the roadway and determined there was not a hazard in the area and took no action.

9:06am: Jeanette Gerloff reported someone had been knocking on her door at 107 North Grimmell Road the past few nights. No one is there when she opens the door. The officer will provide more night time patrol in the area.

12:33pm: Robert Hadley reported an elderly female going door to door in the 200 Block of West Madison Street asking for a ride. Officers did not locate the female.

1:25pm: Jay Laube spoke with an officer concerning an event at the GCMC ER Lobby. The officer was able to diffuse the issue.

3:37pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver in a FedEx vehicle in Jefferson. The officer followed the reported vehicle, but did not witness any infractions by the driver.

3:57pm: Shannon McHugh reported the same elderly female at her residence in the 700 Block of West South Street requesting a ride to the Open Bible Church. This had occurred shortly before noon.

4:57pm: Paul Richardson requested assistance with his adult son at 307 East McKinley Street. The officer drove the subject to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.

5:05pm: Andrew Michaels reported a stray dog in the 700 Block of South Locust Street. The animal’s owner arrived and retrieved the animal before the officer’s arrival.

6:35pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Rushview Drive.

10:20pm: Phyllis Ashcraft requested assistance at 303 South Cedar Street for a carbon monoxide detector going off. Alliant Energy was contacted to check the residence.
