Earlier this month Relay for Life of Guthrie County held its final fundraiser of the year for the 2017-2018 fundraising cycle. The organization had its most successful Angels Fore Life Golf Tournament to date, raising about $3,500 for the American Cancer Society (ACS). Seventeen teams participated in the tournament.
Guthrie County Spokesperson Kim Durst says there were countless individuals who made the event a success. “We just can’t thank everybody enough (including) our sponsors who were willing to sponsor holes and each and every person that came out to golf and to help us raise money to support cancer survivors right here in Guthrie County as well as fight back against cancer.”
The Guthrie County chapter has raised just over $65,000 for the 2018 Relay. Their projected goal was $60,000. All donations for the current year must be turned in by Monday to ensure timely delivery to ACS by the end of the month. Next year’s cycle begins September 1st.
