During his time as the head football coach at Washington Community Schools, Garrison Carter routinely recognized players for their Friday night efforts at practice the next week and on social media. The Demons acknowledged an offensive, defensive, and special teams players of the week at the end of every Monday practice, and shared the news via Twitter as well. Carter is bringing the same idea to ADM Community Schools this fall but has renamed the awards given to the Tigers varsity football players. Every week, an ADM varsity football player will be named the best finisher, the best competitor, and toughest player. The awards began this week after the Tigers’ preseason scrimmage against Gilbert. The ADM coaching staff tabbed senior Lucas Heitz for the competitor award, senior Nate Conrad as this week’s Finisher Award winner, and junior Kaden Sutton garnered the toughness award. Apart of the weekly honor includes the options of wearing a black practice jersey with a Tiger skull on the front. The ADM Tigers varsity football team kicks off the 2018 season on the road tomorrow night, visiting the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays in a nondistrict contest. Listen to the game and all nine ADM varsity football contests on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app.
