The 7th Annual Scranton Tractor Ride will take place this Sunday.
The ride begins at 9am at the Scranton Community Center. The route includes a morning break at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson, with a lunch stop in Jamaica at Just 1 More with a choice or either a brat or cheeseburger meal for $5. Then there is an afternoon break at Deal’s Orchard before returning to the Scranton Community Center later in the day.
Co-organizer Dawn Rudolph says about 60 tractors typically participate every year and there’s no fee to join the ride itself. Door prizes will also be awarded during the lunch stop. She adds that she’s thankful for all of the sponsors who help to put on the event every year to make it an enjoyable experience for participants. Sponsors of the event include: Pemble Digging and Drainage, Christensen Ag, Mr. C’s Welding Shop, Peoples Bank, Landus Coop, Rudy’s Service and Detail.
Registrations begin at 8am on Sunday and trailer parking will be at the Landus Cooperative site in Scranton. No pre-registration is necessary.
