Wednesday, August 8th

1:07am: An officer checked on the business at 507 North Elm Street after seeing lights on inside and hearing the alarm sounding. He located two employees inside cleaning the business.

8:12am: John Danielson reported a vehicle with no windshield approaching Jefferson from the north on Hwy. 4. The officer did not locate the vehicle.

10:23am: Bill Richardson reported numerous tools stolen from a storage shed at 304 North Chestnut Street. The officer is investigating.

10:34 am: The business tenant at 106 East State reported water coming through the ceiling from the upstairs apartment. Officers made contact with the upstairs renter, who advised his child was playing in the toilet causing the water issue.

11:10am: Officers were requested in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave. for an intoxicated female. Officers called the Mobile Crisis Team to assist the female.

1:19pm: Nikki Henderson reported Harassment from a female at 1000 West Adams #3. The officer contacted the female and advised her to end the unwanted contact or face charges in the future.

1:29pm: A female was bitten by a dog while walking in the area of Washington and Oak Streets. The officer made contact with the animal and the owner. The animal was deemed “Illegal” by the officer and made to leave the city limits, per ordinance.

2:52pm: Duane Forkner advised of a semi driving in a Careless Manner on 220th Street approaching Jefferson. The reported driver was not located by the officer.

3:13pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave.

4:17pm: Harley McAndrews reported a suspicious male sitting in a vehicle in the 200 Block of North Clark Street. The officer made contact with the male, who was waiting for a meeting time.

6:18pm: Kelsi Reed requested assistance in locating her juvenile son. The boy returned home on his own a few minutes later.

6:46pm: Nikki Henderson reported a female driving through the parking lot at 1000 West Adams Street after being told by officers to not contact her. The officer advised nothing illegal had occurred as the female had not contacted her.

9:47pm: An officer assisted ER Staff at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street for an unruly patient.

10:34pm: An off duty officer reported male juveniles yelling at him and revving their motor as they passed him while walking near Elm and Lincoln Way. The officer is attempting to make contact with the juveniles and speak to them about the event.

11:48pm: An officer located an Open Door at 407 East Central Ave. The building was secured by the officer.

11:48pm: Keri Moore located a stray dog in the 400 Block of West Head Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
