Recently the Iowa Department of Public Health released highlights from the 2018 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and Health Improvement Plans (HIP) Progress Reports. These reports include information from both Guthrie and Adair counties.

The report includes the partnership between Guthrie County Public Health and Panora Emergency Medical Services for having two trained paramedics serving the Panora, Guthrie Center, and Stuart areas. As for Adair County, the report highlights Adair County Health System’s Senior Life Solutions intensive outpatient program. The program provides coping skills and support related to the emotional and behavioral health of those 65 years and older dealing with grief and loss.

These findings and improvements are part of the “Healthy Iowans 2017-2021: Iowa’s Health Improvement Plan.”
