The 16th annual Highway 141 Garage Sale is happening this weekend, and many of the stops will once again be in the Raccoon Valley Radio Listening area.
Twenty-one towns along the 177 miles of highway will participate in the event, running from Grimes near Des Moines, all the way to Sloan near the Nebraska border. Participating cities in Dallas and Guthrie counties include Granger, Woodward, Bouton, Perry, Dawson, Jamaica, Bagley, and Bayard, and there are several garage sales at each location. Perry alone has around 35 individual sale locations spread throughout the City, as well some outside city limits. Items being sold all along the route include: clothing for adults and kids; toys and collectibles; furniture, electronics, and appliances; assorted knick-knacks; and more. Several locations will also be selling food and refreshments.
The Highway 141 Garage Sale will be held this Friday and Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. However, not all locations will be open both days, and some may not keep the normal hours. For more information, including sale locations and safety recommendations, click the link below.
