Minburn-Communications

Minburn Communications recently announced they are expanding their fiber optic network.

The expansion project will originate from their existing central office in downtown Perry, and the new fiber route will run west along Willis Avenue and extend to Highway 141. The company says the route will eventually tie into the neighboring independent line that will give them an additional redundant connection route. Phase one of the project involves staking the proposed path of the fiber optic cables, which is beginning immediately and should take around three weeks to complete. Crews will also stake additional routes to help them determine future projects.

Phase two, which will be the actual installation of the lines, is slated to begin this fall, and the company hopes to have it finished before the end of 2018. For more information on the project, reach out to Minburn Communications by phone at 515-432-2200 or by email at minburn@minburncomm.com.
