The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.
Several items on the agenda dealt with the Human Resources Department. First, the Board approved the payroll change notices as presented, and then the County holidays for 2019, which were unchanged from previous years. They also held a workshop with the department, mainly discussing the possibility of becoming the employer of record for the region 1A service area coordinator for the Iowa Healthcare Coalition. No action was taken following the workshop.
The Board also considered a 28E agreement with the City of Dexter for law enforcement services. Sheriff Chad Leonard said the County and City had an agreement a year ago that was withdrawn because the City couldn’t afford the service, but now they’re ready to bring it back. The Supervisors approved the agreement, which will include a minimum of 10 hours per week of coverage and will cost the City $26,165.92 per year. Finally, the Board approved a service contract with Finestead Enterprises for building inspector services.
