Among the challenges of a first-year head coach takes on is building relationships with their new student-athletes. Panorama’s new head football coach Michael Kauzlarich endured an even tougher task, trying to create a foundation at Panorama while also having varsity baseball coaching duties at Moravia Community Schools this summer. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network spoke with Kauzlarich last week about the types of things he did to start earning the trust of his athletes. “You got to know what they are doing in their lives,” Kauzlarich said, “Paying attention to everything their doing. Going and watching their baseball games as much as possible. I got to watch three or four of their baseball games. I think that meant a lot to them.”
