Gearing up for his fourth season leading the West Central Valley Football team, head coach Eric Addy is happy with the leadership showcased this summer by the incoming seniors. Addy joined the Guthrie County PM Sports Page this week to discuss his team’s offseason progress ahead of practice and games beginning next month. Addy says he has a special bond with this year’s group of seniors. “Those guys have been with me and came into the program during my first year,” Addy said, “They’ve only had me as a high school football coach. Hopefully it has been, and hopefully, it will continue to pay dividends as we get into the season.”
Addy mentioned Cole Arnburg, Brice Sechrist, Gunner Powell, Korbin Nourse, Cole Sackett and Carson Wadle as incoming senior who’ve shown good leadership skills this summer. The Wildcats are coming off a 3-6 season a year ago, defeating West Central Activities Conference foes AC/GC, Ogden, and Panorama last fall. West Central Valley opens the 2018 season Friday, August 24 against Des Moines Christian in Urbandale.
