2:57pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the 100 Block of East State Street. A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Landus Coop of Farnhamville and being operated by Jeffrey Headley of Farnhamville, was backing from a parking spot and struck a passing vehicle. The eastbound 2015 Chevrolet Impala was owned and operated by Susan Forkner of Jefferson. The Landus truck had a reported $500.00 in rear damages, while Forkner’s vehicle suffered a reported $3000.00 in damages. Headley was cited for, “Unsafe Backing Upon Highway.”

4:25pm: Jim Forbes reported receiving a Scam Phone Call. The caller advised him he had missed jury duty and now had an arrest warrant in his name. He would be immediately arrested unless he made payment to the caller. Four other Jefferson callers advised of receiving the same Scam Phone Call. No one fell for the scam and no losses were incurred by anyone.

4:37pm: Tammy Binkley spoke with an officer concerning a DHS placed teenager in her residence, whom she did not want there anymore.

7:11pm: Jane Nelson spoke with an officer about possible Homeless Services available in Greene County.

7:23pm: Caitlyn Day spoke with an officer about possible Harassment from an ex-employer.

******** (8) Parking Violation Notices were issued on the square for, “Street Sweeping Violation.” Note: All charges are merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
