Like several in school sports teams, the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team uses the summer months to improve their fundamentals. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network had Dan Druivenga on Monday’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page to discuss many topics, including the offseason work put in by the Panther girls basketball players. Druivenga shared the squad had a good month of June, where they focused on fundamental skills of shooting, dribbling, and passing. They also spent Wednesday evenings at Exira-EHK scrimmage several area teams. Druivenga says the work continues today. “We’re going over to Ballard of Huxley to (work) at a camp,” Druivenga said, “Next week, we head down to Mount Ayr for a day, and then Carroll for a few days.”
The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team closed the 2017-18 season with a 23-2 overall record. The Panthers are expected to bring back two starters from last years squad in soon-to-be seniors Bailey Beckman and Morgan Johnk.
