The Greene County Libraries Association and the Greene County Board of Supervisors are co-sponsoring a two-day, free program next week.

Performer Dennis Porter will present two different shows at the six county libraries on Monday, July 16th and Tuesday, July 17th. Monday’s shows are the “Jester Tells All” which Jefferson Children’s Librarian Terry Clark says will involve a stick puppet. The show times and locations are at 10am at the Greene County Elementary School gym for the Jefferson Library, 1pm at the Rippey Library and 4pm at the Grand Junction Library. Then on Tuesday will be another new show called “Under the Bigtop” and Clark says it’ll be all about the circus. Tuesday’s shows are at 10am at the Paton Library, 1pm at the Churdan Library and 4pm at the H.F. & Maude E. Marchant Memorial Library in Scranton.

Clark points out that Porter is an exciting performer and hopes lots of people can join them for the shows.

“This young man came and visited us during Children’s Book Week. He has a very interactive program and the children all got an opportunity to participate. And they just had a wonderful time.”

All of the shows are free and open to the public.
