Yesterday we took a look at the careers of three outgoing seniors on the ACGC baseball team. Today we look at the other three members who played their final game in a Charger uniform against Missouri Valley on Saturday.
Owen Hansen ended the season as the team’s fourth best hitter. He tallied 15 hits, two doubles, and 13 RBIs. He also collected two stolen bases and finished with a 234 batting average. His best game of the season was the regular season finale against Orient-Macksburg. In the win over the Bulldogs, the catcher went 3-4 with a double, two runs scored, and three RBIs.
Garrett Walhovd finished his senior season as the fifth best hitter with twelve. He also tied sophomore Bryce Littler for the third most runs with ten. He also secured two doubles, seven RBIs and five stolen bases.
Nate Schiller found his hitting stride in the second half of the season. The first baseman notched five of his seven hits in the final nine games of the season. He finished with two RBIs and a stolen base on the season.
Hansen suited up for two varsity seasons for the Chargers, while Walhovd and Schiller just wrapped up their first.
