A former substitute teacher and coach in the Panorama Community School District is the subject of an investigation by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. The Board has found probable cause that David D. Iseminger engaged in “soliciting or encouraging a romantic or otherwise inappropriate relationship with a student.”
According to a report, in October of 2017, the Board received a complaint against Iseminger alleging various violations. This past January, they determined that there was enough probable cause to pursue a hearing with the former junior high baseball coach. According to the hearing notice, the investigation revealed that in 2016 and 2017, Iseminger communicated with individual female students through social media and text messages. The messages were personal in nature and sometimes occurred late in the evening.
Superintendent Shawn Holloway confirmed that Iseminger was employed by the district during the alleged allegations. A hearing regarding Iseminger’s license has been scheduled for Friday, September 7th in Des Moines. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
