Greene County senior Quinn Flack has progressed quite a bit as a discus thrower in the past 12 months. At this time a year ago she had barely touched 100 feet in the event, but on Thursday, Flack placed nineteenth in the Drake Relays discus throw for high school girls. Her best toss at Drake was 114′ 7″. She entered the 24-person competition with the 21st best qualifying throw at 119′ 10″. Flack surprised herself in 2013 when she finished second in the State Qualifying Meet and advanced to State competition.
