Late last week, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released postseason brackets for all high school softball teams in the state. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers found out they’ll be the top seed it the Class 4A Region 3 bracket when the playoffs begin next week. The six-team grouping features the Tigers and the Norwalk Warriors as the top two teams receiving first-round byes. ADM will open the playoffs in the semifinal round on Saturday, July 7 against a Raccoon River Conference foe in either Perry Jayettes or the Carroll Tigers. The Boone Toreadors and the Webster City Lynx are also in the regional bracket. Should ADM advance past the Jayettes or Tigers for a third time, they’d host the regional championship game in Adel on Tuesday, July 10. The No. 4 ADM Tiger softball team won their 28th game of the season last night, 1-0, over nonconference for Chariton.
