acgcWeather permitting, the ACGC baseball team is set to face the Ogden Bulldogs in a West Central Activities Conference doubleheader from Ogden. The pair of games were switched from Guthrie Center due to unplayable field conditions.

The Chargers, still looking for their first conference win of the season, will have their hands full with the 12-4 Bulldogs. Ogden is undefeated in the conference this season, with the exception of their two losses to conference leading Van Meter. Junior Carter Church leads the Bulldogs with 20 hits and a batting average of .400. Classmate Kayden Kruse leads the team in runs scored with 14 while Church and senior Chad Mohr lead the team in RBIs with ten each.

The Chargers are coming off a hard fought loss to the Van Meter Bulldogs on Saturday. They also tried to get in a double header against the Woodward Academy Knights last night, but that was once again postponed to Saturday due to poor field conditions. The Chargers come into the game with the second lowest fielding percentage in the conference at 86.3%. The Charger defense has also allowed an average of nearly five stolen bases per game and offensively has the second lowest batting average as a team.

Game one is scheduled for 5pm tonight, with game two immediately following. You can hear game one live on KKRF2 and the Raccoon Valley Radio network, with pre-game coverage set for 4:55.
