Adair_Iowa_watertower-219x300Adair Fire and Rescue is moving forward with plans to construct a new fire station. However, the current building is still habitable. With that in mind the department will be auctioning off the old site this weekend at the annual Chuckwagon Days celebration.

The auction will take place on Saturday at 8pm at the old station in Adair. The building contains four overhead doors and is a 40’x60’ structure. The department is looking to build on the same lot as the current facility, so the old building will have to be disassembled and removed by the end of July. The building will be available for viewing during the Chuckwagon Days on Friday and Saturday.
