Wednesday’s top 10 ranked Raccoon River Conference softball game between the No. 10 Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers and the No. 4 Carlisle Wildcats got halted part way through due to lightning. The Tigers and Wildcats play two full innings of scoreless softball before a lightning strike stopped the game before the top of the third inning. After less than an hour wait, the game was called due to weather. The two schools will pick up the game in the top of the third inning on Tuesday, July 3 in Carlisle. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team also had their nonconference game versus the Ogden Bulldogs in Adel called due to weather. Both Tiger baseball and softball teams return to the diamond tonight in Adel for a nonconference showdown versus Dallas Center-Grimes.
