The season series between the Panorama Panthers and the Madrid Tigers softball teams finished up in dramatic fashion on Tuesday evening in Boone County. Tied at 10 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Madrid’s Courtney Wilson produced a walk-off single to score teammate Gabby Brunner for an 11-10 victory. Panorama freshman Claire Woodworth powered the Panther offense with four hits in five at-bats, recording two doubles, scoring two runs and driving in five others. Panther freshman Grace Richey takes the loss in a four-inning relief appearance. She gave up four runs, none of them earned, on five hits while walking two batters. The first contest of the season went in favor of Panorama, 6-5, in Panora. The Panorama softball team’s season stands at 2-4 overall and inside the West Central Activities Conference. The Panthers have a few days off before competing in a tournament over the weekend in Harcourt.
