IMG_2602An annual summer tradition kicked off with another assortment of classic cars Saturday night as Stuart held its first Scoop the Loop of the season. Over 150 vehicles of all shapes, sizes, and styles were registered for judging, while dozens more parked downtown just for fun. Hundreds of spectators were treated to plenty of food, activities, and a look back in history.

The theme for this first installment honored the current Stuart Chamber of Commerce and past community service organizations for their support of Stuart events and activities. They were commemorated with the special “Stuart Chamber Good Egg Days” trophy and several chamber members were in attendance, including Karl Chevrolet Owner, Carl Moyer.

Event organizer Bob Cook is hoping this event will last well into the future. “We just want people to come and have fun and we’ve tried to add the Kids Loop so that younger generation will have fun. We are looking for additional people who want to step forward and say, ‘I’d like to help with this event.’”

The next event is Saturday, July 21st.
