The Perry Jayettes defeated Collins Maxwell 5-3 Thursday night in the opening round of girls soccer regional play. Natalie Martinez scored four goals giving her 28 on the season. Molly Lutmer added the other goal for the Jayettes while Magley Orellana finished with three assists. The Jayettes led 3-0 early in the second half only to see Collins Maxwell scored three goals in a span of nine minutes to tie the game. Martinez responded with back to back goals to power Perry into the next round. The Jayettes will travel to ADM Tuesday for the Regional semifinal round.
