StuartThe summer reading program at the Stuart Public Library is just around the corner. In addition to the program, “Library Rocks,” there will be a variety of events for all ages. One of those events features an Ames author with a specialty for drawing silly monsters. The library will be hosting an event on Monday, June 11th from 10-11am with Tim Read, the author of the “My Very Silly Monster” series.

Event Chair Theresa Powell talks about the theme of the program. “He does a program on creativity. He’s an illustrator who does caricatures of children and adults and he has audience participation. So this ends up being a very interactive program that is quite enjoyable.”

The series has eight books total and focuses on helping children learn their “ABC’s,” colors, numbers, and other early learning subjects. To hear more about the event, listen to today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
